Structure of Music in the Billboard Hot 100

Taking songs from the 2013 Billboard Hot 100, a visualization was made to match the song with its underlying chord progression. Presented here is an interactive sunburst diagram showing which songs follow a certain chord progression pattern. Although this chart isn't meant to be scientifically (or musically) literal, it does show that a lot of songs are quite similar.
